# Error Codes

This reference lists the error codes returned by the various `onError` callbacks in the `PeripheralsLib`.

## Barcode Scanner Errors

Returned by `BarcodeCallback.onError(int errorCode)`.

| Code | Meaning | Description |
| :---- | :---- | :---- |
| **1** | Timeout | The scanning operation timed out. |
| **2** | Not Supported | Professional barcode reading is not supported on this device. |
| **3** | User Cancelled | The scan was cancelled by the user (e.g., via hardware button). |
| **99** | Indeterminate | An unknown error occurred. |

## Terminal Configuration Errors

Returned by `ConfigCallback.onError(int errorCode)`.

| Code | Meaning | Description |
| :---- | :---- | :---- |
| **-1** | Configuration Error | Error in the configuration parameters or application. |
| **-2** | Not Supported | The requested functionality is not supported. |
| **-3** | Communication Error | Failed to communicate with the terminal service. |
| **-99** | Indeterminate | An unknown error occurred. |

## Health Card Reader Errors

Returned by `MagReadCallback.onError(int errorCode, String description)`.

| **0** | Process Error |
| **1** | Error reading tracks |

## Printing Errors

Returned by `PrintBmpCallback.onError(String error)`.

* **Type:** `String`  
* **Description:** The printing method returns a descriptive string rather than a numeric code. Common messages usually relate to connection status, paper out, or overheating.
