## Android

Common questions about Android development on Getnet terminals.

### Can I change an application's packageName?

No. The `packageName` is the unique identifier for an application within the Android ecosystem. Changing it causes the system to recognize the APK as a completely new application, which breaks certification links and existing data.

### Can I use native Android APIs on production terminals?

Yes. You can use the standard APIs provided by the Android OS on the terminals. However, keep in mind that terminal hardware may impose restrictions on certain features (such as the absence of GPS or specific sensors).

### How can I mirror the terminal's screen to a larger monitor?

The devices do not natively support screen casting. For presentations or larger views, you can install a third-party visualization app on the terminal, such as Vysor.

### Is the GPOS 700 terminal supported for new projects?

We no longer support or work with GPOS 700 terminals. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that our current applications will function or provide technical support for this specific model.

### How do I purchase a Getnet-certified terminal?

Getnet does not sell hardware directly for development purposes. You must contact the sales channels of our partner manufacturers:

### Why can't I debug my application on the Newland N910 or Ingenico APOS A8?

First, verify if your terminal is a Mockup (Dev) model. Development terminals feature a flashing icon in the lower-left corner of the screen or a static image indicating "debug."

* Production Terminals: For security reasons, USB ports are blocked for debugging on production devices. You cannot debug applications directly on these units.  
* Mockup Terminals: If you are using a mockup and still cannot debug, verify the manufacturer's drivers in your development environment.

## Certification

Common questions about the Getnet certification process for your application.

### Will Getnet re-certify every new version of my application?

Yes. Any update involving payment integration or structural changes must undergo a new certification round. The testing duration may vary depending on the complexity of the update.

### Can I start the certification process before my application is finished?

No. Getnet assumes that any submitted application has already been validated by the developer and is ready for production. If the APK is approved, it is immediately signed by Getnet and prepared for live deployment.

### Which files should I send for certification?

You must submit the following:

1. The application's `.apk` file
2. Complete documentation including screen flows and necessary access data (user, password, test server, IPs, etc.). Detailed documentation significantly speeds up the process

### How will I be notified when my application is certified?

You will receive an email when the certification team begins the analysis. Stay alert to the email address registered in the Developer Portal, as the team may reach out for support or clarifications via that channel.

### Does the certification process test my entire application?

No. Our certification process evaluates whether your application follows mandatory security requirements and the quality of calls made to our Payment API. The overall quality of your software depends on your development practices; therefore, you must perform full QA testing before submission.
